Presentations will be pre-recorded using video conferencing software with support from our technical team. Presenters have been invited to book themselves in to a 30 minute facilitated recording slot (your presentation will then be uploaded onto the platform by the congress staff). We will try our best to accommodate presenters who have difficultly in finding an appropriate booking slot.<\/p><p>If you have not received an email providing a link to access the online booking system please email <a href=\"mailto:info@eapcnet.eu\">info@eapcnet.eu<\/a> for support. These pre-recorded presentations can be a maximum of <strong>10 minutes<\/strong> and will be available for congress delegates to view on the congress platform prior to the live session. This allows attendees of the congress to view the full content and submit any questions to the speakers about the presentation in the comments box alongside the recorded content.<\/p><p>During the live session in May, speakers will give a 3-minute oral summary of their research to set the context for the panel discussion and encourage those who have yet to listen to their recorded presentation to do so. During this live session speakers can use a maximum of 3 slides to aid this reprise. These slides must be sent to me in advance of the live session.<\/p><p><strong>Guidelines for slides<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>A maximum of 3 slides is permitted<\/li><li>A maximum of 7 lines per slide and 5 words per line is recommended.<\/li><li>Do not include slide animations or transitions.<\/li><\/ul><p>You may use the <a href=\"https:\/\/eapccongress.eu\/2022\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2022\/01\/EAPC-Slide-template-2022.pptx\">EAPC Slide template 2022<\/a> for your presentation and to compile the 3 slides to use during your 3-minute summary.<\/p><p>If you choose to use your own organisations branded slides then please ensure that you adhere to the following guidelines:<\/p><ul><li>Use 16:9 slide size<\/li><li>Use standard Windows fonts only.<\/li><li>Use high-contrast lettering and readable fonts (minimum font size of 24).<\/li><li>Use high-contrast colours (dark text on a light background or vice versa).<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>All oral presenters must complete the following steps, as soon as possible:<\/p><ol><li>Please register to attend the congress using the relevant link below. Book a recording slot with our technical team so that they can pre-record your 10-minute presentation. <strong>Booking is open now using the link emailed to you. <\/strong>Please note: Once you have booked a recording slot it is important that you use that slot. Our recording availability is limited, and any \u2018no-shows\u2019 incur additional costs to the EAPC. You will be required to upload your poster as a pdf and an image file (png or jpg). \u00a0If you choose the option \u201cPoster presentation with accompanying 2 minute video\u201d you will be able to record a talking head video describing your work directly to the submission platform during the upload process. You will be able to view and rerecord your video as often as you wish before it is saved to the platform.<\/p><h3>Poster content<\/h3><ul><li>ePosters must be one page and should be saved as a pdf. There is no preferred size for the poster upload as long as it is in the same proportions as A0, A1, A2, A3, or A4 so that it will easily print on an A4 sheet.<\/li><li>Your poster must have a clear message, a logical layout and should be easy to comprehend in a couple of minutes<\/li><li>Make sure that the specific sections (such as the background, methods, results and conclusions) are easy to locate on the poster<\/li><li>Text and images should be easy to view on a screen or when printed on an A4 page. Recommend fonts: \u201csans serif\u201d fonts such as Arial, Calibri, Century Gothic, Helvetica, Tahoma and Verdana.\u00a0<\/li><li>Design the individual sections of your poster so that they can be quickly read \u2013 avoid large blocks of text and long sentences<\/li><li>Supporting images (e.g. graphs, tables, illustrations, photographs) can be very helpful and are often necessary to display results.
