Jan Romportl is the co-founder and CEO of Elin.ai, AI researcher, consultant, executive and philosopher with more than 20 years of experience in the field. His main interest is currently AI for mental wellbeing. Jan organizes Prague AI Safety Meetup, tries to be useful in the Czech AI Safety and Alignment community, and he’s involved in the global movement for minimization of existential risks.

Dr. Juho Lehto is a professor of Palliative Medicine at Tampere University and a consulting physician at the Palliative Care Centre of Pirkanmaa, Finland. He is a specialist in respiratory medicine with a special competency in palliative medicine and medical education. His research activities include quality of life, symptoms and palliative care in advanced respiratory diseases together with decision making and ethical aspects at the end-of-life. Dr. Lehto is a former chair of the Finnish Association for Palliative Medicine and the current chair of the steering committee of special competency education of palliative medicine in Finland.

Dr Nahla Gafer, is a clinical oncologist who completed her MD at Sudan Medical Specialization Board. She has worked for 14 years as an oncologist at Khartoum Oncology Hospital, with a special interest in breast cancer. She has volunteered to develop a palliative care service there.

Smriti has almost 2 decades of experience in palliative care with deep personal ties to her work. At Pallium India, Smriti heads the Strategic Programs and Partnerships Division. Her work entails aiding in integrating palliative care into the Indian health system, focusing on increasing safe access to adequate pain relief and patient support across the continuum of care.

Lorna Fraser joined Kings College London as Professor of Palliative Care and Child Health in November 2022. Her background is in clinical paediatrics and her research focuses on children and young people. She was the founding director of the highly successful Martin House Research Centre a multi-disciplinary centre for research on the care and support of children and young people with life-limiting conditions, their families and the workforce that care for them.
